The Tragic Events of Pearl Harbor.

I chose the
topic of Pearl Harbor for a very good reason. I have been fascinated with wars
overseas for many years and the tragic events of the day of Pearl Harbor that I
learned about will always be one of my favorite and most tragic events that I
will ever know about. I also chose this topic because it is a giant turning
point in WWII.
I conducted my research by searching Pearl Harbor on the internet and
read many articles about Pearl Harbor and its significance to be a turning point
in history. I also searched primary sources of Pearl Harbor on the internet and
read a few primary sources about Pearl Harbor and what exactly happened there. I
also read a few books from my school library about Pearl Harbor and also checked
out a few primary sources books about Pearl
Harbor.
I selected my presentation category for one reason I love making websites
and my dad programs computers for a living and I want to be kind of like him. I
created the project by first researching the topic and reading what this was
about. Then I went to www.weebly.com
and set up an account to start a website. I then set up the pages with page one
having my thesis statement on that page. Then I set up the other pages in
chronological order. With the first one being outline of Pearl Harbor then I put
why this is important to the topic Turning Points in History People, Ideas, and
Events. After that I put in my bibliography and the paper I am writing right
now. That is how I set up the paper.
My project relates to the topic in many ways. First, my topic the attack
on Pearl Harbor was a turning point in WWII by bringing the USA into the war.
Another reason is that the Japanese would fall soon after the Pearl Harbor
attack and this attack brought their downfall into the war. These are the
reasons that the attack on Pearl Harbor relates to the topic of "Turning Points
in History: People Ideas and Events".
